Meal Plan – Week of July 17

Every Monday, I’ll be posting our meal plan for the week, complete with snacks and any deals I found. I usually do my grocery shopping on Saturday (market and Earth Fare) and Sunday (Meijer and Aldi). Depending on the budget for the week and what we have in our pantry, sometimes I will meal plan before shopping and sometimes I will meal plan after.

* A note on lunches – I work outside of the home during the week. I usually have either leftovers or something simple like raw cheese with seed crackers or cottage cheese and popcorn, etc. just a bunch of munchies trying to get enough protein and fat to get me through the day. If I know I don’t have much for lunch I try to eat a larger breakfast and take a high fiber fruit with me to help me get through. DH is at home during the day with V. She’s young enough still that she needs to eat several times between meals. She usually eats at meals and then has smaller snacks between each – fruit, crackers, hummus, etc. We don’t really plan lunches because of this.

homemade (Sunday) zucchini bread and breakfast cookies, fresh or frozen fruit (following dirty dozen/clean 15), trail mix, homemade banana “ice cream” (recipe to come), popcorn (recipe to come), organic tri-color carrot sticks, raw sharp cheddar cheese, sprouted crackers, hummus

Sunday, July 17

Breakfast – Ezekiel toast and cream cheese

Lunch – Leftover fried rice, kiwi and crackers

Dinner – Pizza takeout

Monday, July 18

Breakfast – Ezekiel bread toast with peanut butter and bananas, homemade zucchini bread with honey

Lunch – LO pizza

Dinner – Whole crockpot chicken with green beans and brussel sprouts

Tuesday, July 19

Breakfast – Coconut oatmeal with frozen berries

Lunch – Leftovers

Dinner – Homemade chicken soup or chicken and rice

Wednesday, July 20

Breakfast – Ezekiel toast with peanut butter and bananas

Lunch – Leftovers, V to grandma’s

Dinner – Spicy sweet salmon with avocado and sweet potatoes

Thursday, July 21

Breakfast – Smoothies with toast if still hungry

Lunch – Leftovers

Dinner – Chili

Friday, July 22

Breakfast – Toast or oatmeal with fruit and a fat

Lunch – Leftovers

Dinner –Salmon or spaghetti

Saturday, July 23

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner – use up everything in the house
