Letting go of my fear of confrontation

One of the reasons I have waited so long to take my blogging more seriously is because I am terrified of confrontation. Seriously terrified. The idea of someone disagreeing with me, of being wrong, of offending someone, that all gives me so much anxiety that having a space to share and build community didn’t seem… Continue reading Letting go of my fear of confrontation

Why we quit our Whole30 – and how we didn’t

I was so excited to try this Whole30. I’ve been dealing with some chronic, though not serious, issues I was hoping would finally be kicked by it. I want my family to be healthy and happy. The Modesty Argument – Why Breastfeeding in public matters

Breastfeeding in public has become a huge debate lately. I’ve been sort of wishy-washy on my opinion. While pregnant, I was sure I would use a cover when in public or when we had guests over because I’m someone who isn’t even comfortable in a bikini top so I was sure I would feel too… Continue reading The Modesty Argument – Why Breastfeeding in public matters

Date night and the best concert ever

And experiencing things like this with my husband help me understand the truth in the saying: “Those who play together, stay together.” After the concert and the entire ride home, all we could think about was how amazing the concert was, what a great night it had been. We should have both been exhausted after long work weeks and hours of grooving to the music. But we were just so pumped! It will definitely be a night I’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

Why I will never again ask about babies

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted a large family. My barbie families had at least five or six kids. I started babysitting as soon as my parents allowed me. I love kids and have never kept my desire for a larger family a secret. So when my husband and I got… Continue reading Why I will never again ask about babies
